If we define Universidad Inca Garcilaso de la Vega in a foundational sense, we see between its purposes, the conservation, increase and transmission of universal culture in a critic, creative and constructive sense, reinforcing the national values. In a global context, this purpose must extend and complement itself, having an adaptation to challenges present in the currently society of knowledge, in front of science, technology, computing, telecomunications and globalization phenomenon progress.

So, internationalization is the answer given from educational field to globalization phenomenom. Globalization makes more evident the need of scientific, cultural and technological exchange knowledge, which is going to permit the formation of executives who will contribute to the development of society, growth of shared capital and establishment of a wide vision based in cultural diversity.

Internationalization of UIGV is important because it’s a process that searches the necesary mechanisms for Garcilaso community members to acquire a global vision of the world. Also recognizing the need to prepare executives for an interdependant and highly competitive world, capable to adapt and act with effectiveness in the new global reality.

This wide vision will allow our graduates to know the international dimension of their careers, with analytical skill and capable to make significant contributions not only in the field of their professions, but also in interdisciplinary aspects with a critical and historical sense.

The internationalization not only promotes the formation of better professionals, but also affects the University as institution, facilitating its development and strengthening by the challenge that means the constant search of excellence and improvement of educational quality and services, provided in such a way that our graduates are competitive at international level.
